The technical department is equipped with 4 3D CATIA V5 workstations, and therefore can provide the necessary support to develop 3D projects and the subsequent step of engineering, prototyping and production start-up.

Production:

RIBA Composites creates structural and aesthetic components in high-quality advanced composite materials, either within white label manufacturing for third parties on specific order of the customer, or within standard manufacturing with its own trademark.

The production technologies used are selected by assessing both the general characteristics requested, the quantity to be produced, the budget costs specified, and the most suitable production methods.

RIBA's production technologies may carry out the following processes:

  • Prepreg lay-up, using vacuum-bag method and autoclave cycle
  • Press stamping
  • Polymerization in vacuum and thermal cycle
  • Numerically-controlled creation of models through mechanical processes
  • Creation of moulds in composite materials and/or light alloys

Quality control and analisys:

  • Mechanical resistance evaluation of structures and materials, using dedicated equipment, tests and non-destructive controls.
  • Product quality check in Metrology room, with 3D DEA measuring unit, or with FARO laser scanner measuring arm.
